Emergency Food Pantry

The Emergency Food Pantry offers bags of food for five days to those who are experiencing  a crisis.  Families and individuals are welcome to use the emergency food pantry up to three times during the year.  Food is donated from Top's Market, Quality Market and the Upper Crust Bakery.  Welch's of North East, Pa. donates jellies and juices and disposable diapers are donated from K Mart of Dunkirk.   

 

 

Products come from a variety of sources.  Funding is provided by the Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP).  Perishables, canned, and dry goods are packed according to the food pyramid guide for nutrition.  All food is inventoried and weighed as it is distributed.  The Emergency Food Pantry gives out 3,500 bags of food yearly serving 2,500 families consisting of 6,000 individuals through emergency food assistance.
