The Friendly Kitchen

The Friendly Kitchen serves a warm nutritious meal at no cost daily between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and an evening meal is offered from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  We have served over 250,000 meals since opening in 1984.  Dedicated volunteers prepare and serve this meal 365 days a year.  Meals are served restaurant style.

The mural on the kitchen wall was created by SUNY Fredonia Art Department student Kathy Sully in 1998.  This mural was hand sketched and painted to depict the philosophy of the Rural Ministry.  It displays the Latin American bread prayer...."To all who have bread give hunger for justice, and for all who have hunger give bread."
